![]() In mobile versions of PonyTown you can control your speed of your pony better to be a slow trot rather than a run. Adding slight tints of red to eyes can accomplish a look that your character cries a lot or has been crying. Expression and how your character moves can help show how they act without having to interact with them. Kitty Jesus looks derpy and like he’s drunk or on the verge of sneezing because he’s not a very serious character, liking to have fun and spreading positivity. LoveSearcher looks sick, sad and tired from her eyes being half closed with bags under her eyes and her having a slight frown, because she is like that. Being creative is the top thing.Ī good thing to do is to use expressions that reflect who your character is. Try to use hair styles that others don’t use often though! Lots of people use some hairstyles and if a rater says to change something that you like (I don’t know what it is with Raters but they eat at me for Kitty Jesus’s hair sometimes), you don’t have to listen to them. There’s a lot you can do to make a character work and same face syndrome in this case doesn’t really matter since you have the common style here anyways. This makes your characters lack the ability of being really unique. You can’t make your character more muscular or thicc, scrawny or thin, they’re all the same pixels with other pixels stuck on top of them. There’s different ears, beaks, and feet but not much else is ever changed. The customization on PonyTown is limited. There’s what makes characters special and how you can remember them despite their simple designs, so take those elements to make yours! Your character doesn’t HAVE to have these traits though and CAN be different. Although now a more mainstream character, before Starlight she was only in two episodes (don’t quote me on this), being a rival to Twilight before she became an Alicorn. Those are contrasting colours and she’s special because she wears magician suit. Look to other characters that do stand out and are more important. There’s no contrasting colours that would make her stand out, so why is she such a memorable character? She has a big bow behind her head to make herself stand out. Then have yourself a Look at cannon characters for an example (to skip this all go until the letters are in italics):ĪppleBloom what makes her special? She’s a pale yellow and red pony with orange eyes, being made of warm colours. ![]() The purple hedgehog has more than 4-6 colours whilst Sonic has five. Look at this Sonic character somebody has made once and look how cluttered it is compared to Sonic himself. Marisues usually are really cluttered if you notice. You don’t want your character to be bland but you don’t want them to be cluttered. Your pony can look how you want, but there are things that apply to all characters. The dragon and fish tails can take you far enough usually with hybrids, right? A uncommon species to see though is a griffin so don’t be scared to make one! Hybrids could be made but I wouldn’t push it really. You’ll see the odd shark, fox, Wolf, cat, you name it. Creativity is never down the drain completely because you can make all sorts. Your character can have different species in PonyTown. A crash they had could make your character’s face crooked, or they could have a broken horn. Personality and jobs the character has can be thought of while you make your design. You don’t have to do this, but you can do it! Characters like Kitty Jesus originally looked bad from not being planned out (and he being my third character ever made) so don’t be afraid to plan ahead.
